Cosmetics and Dermatologic Problems and Solutions, 3rd Edition Zoe Diana Draelos

Cosmetics for skin, hair, and nails play a vital part in the management and treatment of many dermatological conditions; unfortunately, they may also at times be the cause of some dermatological problems. They are therefore subjects where dermatologists need to be aware of the major commercial developments taking place, in addition to the many common Over The Counter products already available, in order to be vigilant in checking the possible benefits or disadvantages for patients.

This text takes a serious look at the integration of skin care products, cosmetics, hair adornments, and nail cosmetics in the daily practice of dermatology, expanding the realm of disease treatment beyond diagnosis and treatment into the maintenance phase of healthy skin, hair, and nails.

Stockley's Drug Interactions, 8th Edition

Atlas of the Human Skull

When I took osteology, we relied heavily on White's Human Osteology and were frustrated by the less than wonderful photographs and text. I came across this book a year later and wished so much that I'd had it earlier! The photographs are much larger and better marked (with letters and numbers overlying features, rather than marked off to the side with ambiguos arrows). There is little text, but it isn't needed! The photographs and labels tell you everything you need to know. Every foramen is listed with what passes through it. The sections include: articulated skull, disarticulated bones of the crania and face, muscle attachments, anthropological landmarks, and radiological landmarks. The appendices include articulations, classifications, foramina and ossification centers for each bone. It's truly wonderful!

Laser dermatology .. David J. Goldberg

This book represents the most up-to-date description of the state of the art in laser and light source technology.
After an initial chapter describing the latest understanding of laser physics and safety, subsequent chapters take up the laser treatment, respectively, of vascular lesions, pigmented lesions and tattoos, unwanted hair, ablative and non-ablative resurfacing, and its use for medical purposes.
Very practical and reader-friendly: Each chapter is very well-illustrated, and includes quick and easy bullet points and repetitive structure such as core concepts, currently available technologies, indications and contraindications, and an example of each author’s consent form and personal treatment approaches.
